Together with the Coachella Innovation team, we developed the art direction and design for Coachella Quests, a brand new game that allows fans to collect stamps, level up, and compete for the grand prize: Guest Passes for Coachella 2025. Players could collect stamps hidden throughout the internet and on-site at the festival.


We also provided design support on various other projects for Coachella's Innovation team, including the Throwback Merchandise Trunk NFT, the Avalanche Oasis Lounge, and the Coachella Quests Hideaway activation at the festival.

GAME WALKTHROUGH

During the onboarding process, players are taken through a brief explanation of the game. We designed and animated this introduction video posted on Coachella socials.

QUEST HEROES
AND STAMPS

Series of quests were released to players in Chapters, beginning prior to the festival and extending through its commencement. 

Each quest required a distinctive postcard accompanied by a corresponding stamp for display on the UI. We produced more than 50 of these postcards and stamps by illustrating dozens of elements, as well as applying a stamp-like effect to photos of Coachella’s most recognizable structures and imagery. We then arranged these assets in diverse compositions to align with each quest name.

At the start of the game, players were asked to choose a Canvas Card which would act as the indicator of their level throughout gameplay. As players completed quests to earn stamps, they would earn points which help them to advance them through the levels which would update the artwork on their Canvas Card.

In addition to new artwork per level, players can complete additional quests on the Coachella fairgrounds to earn Reward Skins which would change the color and texture of their Canvas Card.

KEEPSAKE MERCHANDISE TRUNK — OPENSEA NFT

Coachella offered fans the opportunity to purchase Throwback Merchandise Trunks as an NFT via OpenSea. Each trunk unlocks a unique curation of merchandise from the last 15 years of Coachella including a t-shirt, a sweatshirt, and an accessory. We designed the artwork for the NFT, as well as all the promotional material.
